Empowering Youth Creativity through films

Our young people have the knowledge and skills to create videos. Skills focused on storyboarding; a graphical visualization of a shot sequence assists in the process. The weekend dwelt on storyboard, as a help to visualize and refine thoughts. It is effective in communicating ideas creatively to the production team.

The 4th Media Education Seminar was an overnight program held at Sivaria Namona, Bomana, from Friday, May 3rd, 2024, to Saturday, May 4th, 2024, for 5 institutions of the MES participants. While the program dealt with Storyboard and creatively shooting inspirational films, it offered the participants time to reflect on their gifts of beauty and grace and reconnect with God in the calm and relaxed atmosphere of the Pastoral Centre and learn the intricacies of a storyboard.

Salesian Family

Don Bosco created a vast movement of persons to bring the Gospel of Jesus to young people and to work for their benefit. He himself founded the Society of St. Francis de Sales (Salesians of Don Bosco), the Institute of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians (Salesian Sisters), the Association of Salesian Cooperators, and the Association Devoted to Mary Help (ADMA). Since then other groups have formed. Today 31 groups make up the Salesian Family spread throughout the world. These Groups have specifically distinct vocations but they live in communion with each other, share Don Bosco’s charism of ministering to the young especially those who are poor and at risk.
