Solomon Islands, Tetere:From December 15 to 18, Christ the King Parish came alive with the joyful spirit of 240 Bosco Kids, who took part in a powerful faith formation retreat led by Jesus Youth Australia. The event was a vibrant blend of prayer, fellowship, and spiritual awakening that left a lasting impact on all who attended.
The retreat began with boundless energy as the Jesus Youth team was warmly received by enthusiastic children. Engaging games and lively action songs set a joyous and inclusive tone that carried through the entire three-day experience.
On Day One, the children were introduced to the profound and personal love of God through inspiring prayers and creative presentations. The evening’s Adoration and prayer ministry drew many kids seeking comfort and connection with God’s presence.
Day Two brought a focus on healing and reconciliation, exploring the themes of sin and the Ten Commandments. Confession was offered and warmly embraced by numerous participants. The day closed with a powerful evening Adoration, fostering peace and healing through the Blessed Sacrament.
The final day centered on the power of prayer and the Holy Spirit. Children learned how to invite the Holy Spirit into their lives, culminating in a heartfelt closing with Adoration, vibrant action songs, and the giving of rosaries, chocolates, and prayer cards as keepsakes.
Creative skits and personal testimonies highlighted the retreat, making the teachings unforgettable and deeply inspiring. This transformative event successfully deepened the children’s faith, setting them on a path of ongoing spiritual growth and vibrant devotion.
